Iranian State Television Airs Video That Sparked Controversy in Azerbaijan

The Iranian state television channel Sahar TV has aired a video that has caused discontent in Azerbaijan. The footage shows military exercises by the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps near the Iran-Azerbaijan border, as reported by the Armenia Today Telegram channel. The video is accompanied by statements directed at Israel and Azerbaijan.

“Iran announces this so that Azerbaijan knows and understands that anyone who looks at Iran the wrong way must be destroyed,” the text in the video proclaims.

The Caucasus War Report intelligence group has stated that “the threat was first articulated on the Iranian government Sahar television channel, whose main audience comprises Iranian Azerbaijanis.”
