Situation at the Upper Lars-Kazbek Border Checkpoint Stabilized, Georgia's Ministry of Internal Affairs
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia reports that the situation at the Upper Lars-Kazbek border checkpoint has stabilized.
"The movement of freight and passenger vehicles at the 'Dariali' border checkpoint has returned to normal, resulting in the full restoration of transit traffic that had been difficult in recent days," the agency stated, as reported by Jnews.
According to the agency, the number of Russian citizens crossing the state border has sharply decreased. In the last day, 6,109 Russians entered Georgia, while 5,186 Russian citizens left the country. The flow of arrivals from Russia has decreased by 60%.
