CSTO Explains Why Zas and Pashinyan Did Not Meet
The Secretary General of the CSTO, Stanislav Zas, did not meet with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during his visit, as Pashinyan was attending the UN General Assembly at that time. The CSTO clarified the reasons for Zas’s absence in meeting with Pashinyan while in Armenia.
“The Secretary General did not communicate with Pashinyan because he had gone to New York to participate in the 77th UN General Assembly,” CSTO spokesman Vladimir Zainetdinov stated, according to RIA Novosti.
The CSTO mission visited Armenia, where it held a series of meetings with the country’s leaders. The mission members, including Zas, also visited the Armenia-Azerbaijan border.
