We said to leave Vienna and Moscow aside and meet in Armenia: Cavusoglu

Turkey's Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu spoke about the Armenian-Turkish and Armenian-Azerbaijani processes during a meeting with representatives of the Turkish community in Los Angeles, according to ermenihaber.

He noted once again that after the 44-day war, an atmosphere has been created for peace and stability in the Caucasus, insisting that Armenia and Azerbaijan should sign the comprehensive peace agreement proposed by Azerbaijan for lasting peace.

Cavusoglu also hinted at the "Zangezur corridor," stating: "Now the North Corridor has stopped being an alternative corridor for east-west trade. Now we need to discuss the Middle Corridor—Azerbaijan, Turkey, Georgia—if Armenia also implements these projects, it will be included in it."

Regarding the Armenian-Turkish normalization process, Cavusoglu specifically said: "We have appointed special representatives to normalize relations with Armenia. We said to leave Vienna and Moscow aside and meet in Armenia, we made certain gestures—we opened our airspace, direct flights began, air transportation and trade are starting. As a result, we have made certain steps, but Armenia, due to the pressures it faces, still cannot make the bold steps we desire."

In conclusion, the Turkish Foreign Minister accused certain circles of the Armenian diaspora in the U.S. that, in his opinion, are opposed to normalizing relations with Turkey.
