Turkey's Defense Ministry on Grain-Filled Ships
Turkey's Ministry of Defense has announced the departure of six more cargo ships loaded with food from Ukrainian ports.
"As planned, grain exports continue on a safe basis. Six more cargo ships laden with food have departed from Ukrainian ports," the ministry stated on Twitter.
In Istanbul, on July 22, two interrelated documents were signed to address supply issues of food and fertilizers to global markets. The documents present a unified package. The first, a memorandum, includes the UN's obligations regarding the removal of various restrictions on the export of Russian agricultural products and fertilizers to global markets. The second document clarifies the mechanism for exporting Ukrainian grain from Black Sea ports. However, as Moscow notes, the deal concerning exports from Russia is still not operational.
