We Will Not Sit with Our Arms Crossed: China on the Ukraine Conflict
China is not planning to remain idle during the Ukrainian conflict, but this will not contribute to escalation. This was reported by Life.ru.
The statement was made by China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi during a meeting with the EU's High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, at the UN General Assembly session.
“China will not sit with its arms crossed or pour oil on the fire,” the Chinese Foreign Ministry website quotes Wang Yi.
Wang also added that Beijing will continue to adhere to its role. At the same time, the minister emphasized that the Chinese side supports the EU’s efforts to encourage peaceful negotiations between Moscow and Kyiv.
