Biden Nominates Lyn Tracy as US Ambassador to Russia
US President Joe Biden has today submitted the nomination of Lyn Tracy for the position of US Ambassador to Russia to the Senate for discussion. This information is reported by the White House press service.
Previously, Russia had agreed to her appointment. On September 14, 2022, it was announced that the US had proposed Lyn Tracy as the new head of the diplomatic mission in Moscow.
Tracy was appointed as the US Ambassador to Armenia in February 2019. Her diplomatic mission in Armenia is soon to come to an end. She will be replaced in Armenia by American diplomat Kristina Kvien, who is currently the Chargé d'Affaires at the US Embassy in Ukraine.
