We Will Continue to Support the Sovereignty and Security of the Armenian People: Blinken
The U.S. Secretary of State Antony J. Blinken sent a message on the occasion of Armenia's Independence Day: “On behalf of the United States of America, I extend my best wishes to the people of Armenia on the occasion of Independence Day. Since declaring independence from the Soviet Union over 30 years ago, we have witnessed Armenia's commitment to democratic values, as well as the development and strengthening of human rights, the rule of law, the economy, and justice in the country.
We are proud to work with Armenia in these areas that embody our shared values. We will continue to support the democratic aspirations, sovereignty, and security of the Armenian people. We appreciate your readiness to support efforts to ensure greater stability in the region. We express our condolences for the human losses resulting from the recent attacks and acknowledge that we are committed to working with you and others to promote a peaceful resolution to the conflict.
We are hopeful that our bilateral relations and economic ties will continue to thrive. Wishing prosperity and peace to the Armenian people.”
