Meeting of Foreign Ministers of Armenia, Greece, and Cyprus
On September 19, in New York, during the 77th session of the UN General Assembly, a meeting took place between Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan, Cypriot Foreign Minister Ioannis Kasoulides, and Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Dendias.
During the meeting, security issues related to the South Caucasus and the Eastern Mediterranean were discussed. Minister Mirzoyan presented the situation created as a result of Azerbaijan's recent aggression against Armenia.
Minister Dendias addressed the intensification of hostile rhetoric from Turkey towards Greece. Minister Kasoulides updated his colleagues on the situation in the Eastern Mediterranean and the latest developments regarding the reunification process of Cyprus.
Ministers Kasoulides and Dendias expressed their solidarity and support for the Armenian people. The foreign ministers expressed their readiness to continue active communications within the trilateral format to elevate cooperation to a qualitatively new level and to expand the scope of collaboration.
The parties also discussed issues related to Armenia-EU partnership.
