We Guard the Village and Houses, the Danger is Still High: Hakob Avetyan
The night passed quietly in the direction of the villages of Sotk and Geghamasar in the Gegharkunik region, without any shots fired from the Azerbaijani side, indicating a relative calm. This information was provided to 24News by the former head of the Geghamasar community, Hakob Avetyan.
Avetyan mentioned that women and children from the nearby border areas continue to remain displaced. “It is a relative calm, but we do not consider it finished. We remain vigilant. God forbid, it happens again. We guard the village and houses; the danger is still significant,” he stated.
According to the latest announcement from the Ministry of Defense of Armenia, as of 09:00 on September 16, there have been no changes in the situation along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.
