Phone Conversation Between Pashinyan and Blinken Discussed by Government of Armenia
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan had a phone conversation with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken. The Prime Minister presented details about the situation resulting from the aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against Armenia's sovereign territory.
Nikol Pashinyan noted that although the situation along the border is relatively calm, it continues to remain very tense.
Antony Blinken expressed his condolences regarding the casualties caused by the military actions and reaffirmed the United States' readiness to support peace and dialogue.
The interlocutors also discussed the ongoing discussions regarding Armenia's appeal to the UN Security Council. Prime Minister Pashinyan once again emphasized the importance of an adequate international response to the ongoing situation.
