What Citizens Passing Through the Lachin Corridor Should Do in Case of Captivity or Provocation
The safety of citizens passing through the Lachin Corridor, now under Azerbaijani control, will be ensured by the Artsakh police and the Ministry of Emergency Situations. This was stated by the National Security Service of Artsakh in response to a question from MediaHub.am.
The news outlet sought to clarify whether citizens passing through the Lachin Corridor would be provided with a phone number to call in case of capture or provocation by the enemy. “The police maintain round-the-clock surveillance in the Lachin Corridor area, and all one needs to do is call 1.02 or 911,” was the response from the Artsakh National Security Service.
When asked whether this method allows for responding to citizens' alerts and whether ensuring people's safety in this way is justified, the response was that this is the situation, and the police will carry out the monitoring.
“Even now, the Artsakh police issue reports twice a day stating that the road is completely safe,” they added from the Artsakh National Security Service.
