71-Year-Old Resident's Home in Urut Village Raided for Cannabis and Drugs
On August 19, as a result of joint operations by the criminal police departments combating illegal drug trafficking and the regional offices of Lori and Step'anavan, information was received about a resident of Urut village in Lori province growing cannabis in his backyard.
As part of the initiated criminal proceedings, on August 20, the police conducted a search at the home of the 71-year-old resident of Urut village. In the backyard, 42 cannabis plants were found. Additionally, the homeowner presented 171 dried cannabis-like plants from the roof, along with two containers filled with a similar substance.
Expert examinations have been appointed, and the preliminary investigation is ongoing.
