Three Men Arrested for the Murder of 47-Year-Old Woman
The investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia's Yerevan City has clarified several circumstances surrounding the murder of a 47-year-old resident of Yerevan, following investigative and procedural actions, as well as measures taken by the Armenian Police.
According to the Committee, a report about the incident was received on August 12, 2022, at 07:35 AM, indicating that a woman was lying on the ground behind one of the buildings in the Davtashen 1st district of Yerevan with head injuries.
During the site examination initiated under Article 155, Part 1 of the Criminal Code of Armenia, the body of the 47-year-old woman was found with bodily injuries and hemorrhagic traces on the head area. A forensic examination of the corpse was appointed, and the preliminary conclusion indicated that the cause of death was mechanical asphyxia.
As a result of the necessary measures undertaken, the identities of the suspected offenders were revealed; they are residents of Yerevan born in 1981, 1982, and 1987. They have been charged under Article 155, Part 2, Point 8 of the Criminal Code of Armenia. Arrest has been applied as a preventive measure against them.
The preliminary investigation is ongoing.
