Vahe Hakobyan to Resign from Mandate: 'Zhoghovurd'
The newspaper 'Zhoghovurd' reports that Vahe Hakobyan, the former head of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, is expected to resign from his parliamentary mandate. His ruling 'Civil Contract' party made the decision and took on the position. According to our sources, he will be the next MP from the 'Armenia' faction to resign, following Arthur Ghazinyan.
Regarding the resignation of his parliamentary mandate, Hakobyan mentioned in an interview with 'Zhoghovurd' that he would not comment on this matter at the moment. 'We will discuss this in September,' added the president of the 'Reviving Armenia' party.
It is noteworthy that according to the information obtained by 'Zhoghovurd', there will be more MPs resigning from the 'Armenia' faction in the near future. Some of them will also leave the political arena and return to their main professions.
