Future Prosecutor General Assigned to Yerevan State University
The newspaper "Hraparak" reports that the future Prosecutor General, currently the assistant to the Prime Minister, Anna Vardapetyan, has recently been appointed to the Board of Trustees of Yerevan State University, replacing the former assistant to the Prime Minister, Nairi Sargsyan, who left his position months ago and, according to his statement, moved to the business sector. The decision regarding Vardapetyan was made by Nikol Pashinyan. It is difficult to say why he is assigning the future prosecutor to the main university.
It should be recalled that the Board of Trustees of Yerevan State University was formed at the end of last year, with the president being the Minister of Defense, Suren Papikyan. Additionally, it is noteworthy that Pashinyan has spoken for years about the depoliticization and departisanization of universities.
