Attempts to Accumulate Legitimacy for a New War: Nikol Pashinyan
Attempts are being made, drop by drop, to accumulate legitimacy for a new war against Armenia and Artsakh. This was stated today during an online press conference by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
“In May, the meeting of the joint commission on border demarcation and border security was canceled or postponed twice by Azerbaijan. Thus, they are trying to accumulate legitimacy for a new war against Armenia and Artsakh, drop by drop,” he said.
According to Pashinyan, Azerbaijan claims that Nagorno-Karabakh does not exist, but the Tripartite Statement explicitly mentions Nagorno-Karabakh three times.
In response to a question about the era of peace, Pashinyan noted that Azerbaijani troops have invaded the area of the village of Parukh, which falls under the responsibility of Russian peacekeepers, indicating that Azerbaijan’s statements about peace do not align with their actions.
According to the Prime Minister, such actions suggest that Azerbaijan intends to prepare for a new war, whether now or in a few years.
