Zahharova Speaks on Armenian Soldier Killed at the Border Days Ago
Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zahharova addressed the death of an Armenian conscript soldier due to a ceasefire violation by Azerbaijan on June 19 in Vardenis during a weekly press briefing at the request of a journalist.
“The regularly occurring incidents and issues in certain border areas of Azerbaijan and Armenia confirm the relevance and necessity for the planned and regular work of the bilateral commission on border demarcation. We are ready to hold the second meeting of the border demarcation bilateral commission in Moscow in the near future. As is known, the parties agreed to hold the second meeting in Moscow on May 24. Of course, it is essential to take steps to enhance the level of stability and security at the border,” emphasized the Russian Foreign Ministry representative.
