Armenia Has Signed: Aliyev's Manipulative Statement

The President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, has stated that the prompt opening of the so-called "Zangezur Corridor" is one of the fundamental elements for the future of "peace" in the region, according to Azerbaijani news outlets.

"If we are not granted access, it will be difficult to talk about peace, and all of Azerbaijan's efforts aimed at establishing normal coexistence and friendly relations with Armenia will fail," said Aliyev during the opening of the IX Global Forum in Baku.

In Aliyev's opinion, Azerbaijan has the right to demand the opening of the "Zangezur Corridor" (quotes added by Tert.am), since Armenia has signed the relevant statement.

The IX Global Forum is being held in Baku on the theme of "Challenges to the Global World Order."
