«No one can guarantee that captured Americans will not face the death penalty»: Peskov
Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov stated that Russia cannot guarantee that American former servicemen captured in Ukraine will not face the death penalty, as reported by gazeta.ru.
“I cannot guarantee anything; the verdict depends on the course of the investigation,” Peskov said.
Earlier, it was reported that American volunteers Alexander Dryuken, 39, and Andy Hyun, 27, had gone missing.
US State Department spokesman Ned Price stated that the United States is in contact with representatives of the Ukrainian side and the International Committee of the Red Cross regarding the captured Americans in Ukraine.
