Do Not Buy Grain from Russia: EU's Call to All Countries
During a press briefing in Brussels, Peter Stano, a representative of the EU foreign service, announced that the European Union is urging all countries in the world not to purchase grain that has been exported from Ukraine by Russia. The information was reported by TASS.
"We urge all countries around the world not to buy grain stolen from Ukraine, and we encourage them to verify the origin of the grain," he stated.
Stano noted that according to EU foreign service data, Russia attempted to sell a batch of grain to Egypt, but Egypt refused the offer.
European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen announced that the EU is currently creating land green corridors for the expedited export of over 20 million tons of grain from Ukraine through Poland, Slovakia, and Romania. According to her, this method allows the EU to "facilitate exports from Ukraine," enabling Kyiv to acquire the necessary goods.
