Body of Vladimir Gabrielian Discovered

A tragic incident has led to the death of Vladimir Gabrielian, the first deputy director of VKontakte, and company procurement director Sergey Merzlyakov, reports RIA Novosti.

"It became known this morning that Vladimir Gabrielian and Sergey Merzlyakov have died as a result of a tragic accident. We mourn alongside their family, friends, and loved ones," the company stated in a message.

The two men were initially considered missing, and search efforts were hampered by adverse weather conditions. The following morning, their bodies were discovered on the riverbank.

Preliminary reports indicate that Gabrielian and Merzlyakov were participating in an expedition using all-terrain vehicles. They were attempting to cross a river near the village of Shoyna when their vehicle overturned and was swept away into the sea.
