Zelensky Refuses to Transport Ukrainian Grain Through Belarus
The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, has announced that the country is not prepared to transport grain through Belarus due to significant doubts about the feasibility of such logistics, as reported by RBK-Ukraine.
“We were offered to pass through Belarus by railway (for grain exports). We understand the scale of it, but we also understand why this was suggested to us. We are still not ready to follow this format and assist our 'friendly' neighbors,” the Ukrainian president clarified.
Previously, Belarusian leader Alexander Lukashenko and UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres discussed the issue of grain exports from Ukraine by phone. During the conversation, Lukashenko stated that Minsk is willing to supply grain through Belarus to ports in Germany, Poland, the Baltic States, and the Russian Federation, but only on the condition that Belarusian goods can also be delivered there.
