Syunik Deputies Refuse to Accept Pashinyan's Decision: 'Haylur'
According to the 'Haylur' newspaper, the communication between Syunik Governor Robert Ghukasyan and the five deputies elected from the region by the Armenia's ruling party, the Civil Contract, is failing. The deputies are not coming to terms with Pashinyan's decision to appoint his advisor to the position of governor, who is not affiliated with the Civil Contract.
Sources from the region inform us that the deputies demand that the governor coordinate any decisions with them, which he is not doing. Recently, they were shocked to see the governor participating in a housing ceremony with opposition mayor Arush Arushanyan in Vorotan, and they are using this fact to potentially weave a conspiracy against him at higher levels.
It can be said that they are succeeding; we were informed that the question of financing for the inter-agency working group on Syunik issues is hanging in the air. This issue needs to be brought to the agenda by the head of the government's staff, Arayik Harutyunyan, but he is not doing so at the request of the deputies.
