Former Geghamasar Leader Hakob Avetyan Detained

We are conducting our peaceful action, not intending any violent acts, and our goal is to draw the government's attention to our demands. This was stated by Hakob Avetyan, the former leader of the Geghamasar enlarged community, who, along with a group of citizens, blocked the Vardenis-Sotk road, as reported by tert.am.

“We support the 'Resistance' movement and are conducting our action here,” he said.

The police demanded the road to be opened, stating that the police's demand is not up for discussion, leading to a scuffle between the police and the participants of the action. The police detained the former leader of the Geghamasar community.

It should be noted that members of the 'Resistance' movement have also blocked the Yerevan-Sevan interstate highway. Today, there have been acts of civil disobedience in other regions as well.
