Family of Major Visits Home of Woman Killed in Tragic Accident: New Details

Yesterday, at the intersection of Paronyan and Leo streets, 29-year-old pregnant Sona Mnatsakanian was killed in a hit-and-run incident. Her parents are well-known doctors: her father is an orthopedic surgeon and her mother is a pediatrician.

“I am in mourning now, I don’t want to talk, but I don’t want this incident to be politicized. I will do my best to ensure it is not politicized; let all that remain for later,” Sona’s father told Aravot.am. He also stated that he would clarify the circumstances of the incident later, regarding how it happened.

Sona Mnatsakanian’s father mentioned that the family of the major who caused the accident has already visited them to express their condolences and regret.
