Meeting Between Zas and Mirzoyan: The Latter Addresses Recent Azerbaijani Aggression in Artsakh
On April 8, in Moscow, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan met with the Secretary General of the CSTO, Stanislav Zas. The two discussed the ongoing activities of the CSTO, the implementation of decisions made by the Collective Security Council, and the schedule of upcoming events. Both parties emphasized the importance of implementing the priorities of Armenia’s presidency in the context of the Organization's potential development.
Ararat Mirzoyan stressed the need for continued efforts aimed at improving the Organization's crisis response mechanisms.
The Armenian Foreign Minister also addressed the situation created by the incursion of Azerbaijani armed forces into the area of responsibility of Russian peacekeepers in Artsakh, specifically in the village of Parukh and surrounding areas. During the meeting, Stanislav Zas presented the security situation within the CSTO zone and the existing challenges, and informed about the coordination process of the documents being negotiated within the CSTO framework. The interlocutors touched upon other regional and international issues of significant importance to CSTO member states.
