Google Maps Disables Certain Features in Ukraine: Details
Google Maps has temporarily disabled two real-time information features in Ukraine. The situation regarding road congestion and public spaces in the country is still difficult to assess, according to CNN.
The features were turned off on February 27 after consultations with sources, including regional authorities, citing 'the safety of local communities.' The company has added that real-time traffic information remains available to drivers in Ukraine through alternative navigation features.
Earlier, it was reported that Norway is divesting assets from the Russian Federation and is allocating $226 million to Ukraine. Oslo is freezing its shares in Sberbank, Gazprom, and LUKOIL for future sale.
