We Will Have 100 New Schools by Year-End: Pashinyan
In 2022, we have 173 subsidy program applications, solely for kindergartens, of which 38 will be entirely new kindergartens, while the others pertain to renovations, refurbishments, or improvements. This was announced today during a government meeting by the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Gnel Sanosyan.
In response, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan noted that the goal is to build 500 kindergartens by 2026. “If we account for this program and consider those being renovated with state budget and foundations, we will clearly build more than 500 kindergartens by 2026. The construction, reconstruction, and renovation of kindergartens involve complete renovation of the building, entirely new furniture, and comprehensive updates or construction of the environment,” Pashinyan stated.
Meanwhile, he mentioned that by December 2022, there should be 100 new schools, including those whose construction started in 2021. “We continuously receive signals that the technical supervision institute is not established in our country. We need to think about what to do to ensure the institute is established, and I invite the attention of the Deputy Prime Ministers,” the Prime Minister said.
