Taliban Delegation Arrives in Europe for Negotiations
The Taliban delegation has arrived in Oslo to conduct negotiations with Western officials, AFP reports. This is the first visit since the Taliban took power in Afghanistan.
The three-day talks will focus on human rights and humanitarian aid for the Afghan people. Representatives of the unrecognized regime will meet with officials from Norway and the EU, as well as delegates from the UK, France, Germany, Italy, and the USA.
The Norwegian Foreign Minister has stated that the meeting does not imply legitimization or recognition of the Taliban.
