Accident Involving Jeep and Opel in Syunik During Snowstorm Results in Injuries

Today, January 21, an accident occurred in the Syunik region. Around 3:30 PM, vehicles, including an Opel Astra and a Jeep, collided on the 14 km stretch of the Goris-Sisian highway.

According to shamshyan.com, as a result of the crash, three individuals were transported with bodily injuries to the Goris Medical Center.

The first to assist the injured were citizens and firefighters from the Ministry of Emergency Situations. After taking the injured to the hospital, the firefighters disconnected the vehicles from power, sealed the gas cylinder valves, and secured the area.

The road became impassable due to the heavy snowstorm, as the strong wind quickly filled the path cleared by the snowplows with snow, complicating the work of rescuers and road police.
