Government Transfers Management of 'Her-Her' HPP and 'Armenikum' Company from Ministry of Defense to Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure

The government decided in its meeting today, January 13, to assign the management rights of the state-owned shares (100%) of the 'Her-Her' Hydroelectric Power Plant and 'Armenikum' LLC to the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia, with the intention of privatizing them in the future.

The decision's justification notes that 'Her-Her' HPP was established, and the management of state shares was transferred to the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Armenia by a government decision on April 13, 2017. It is classified as a small hydroelectric power station that sells its production to 'HEC' LLC. The number of employees is 10, and the occupied land area is 1000 sq. m, of which buildings and structures account for 351 sq. m.

The management of the state shares of 'Armenikum' LLC was transferred to the Minister of Defense by a government decision on April 8, 2004. With its infrastructure, it serves as an infectious disease hospital and provided medical services within the framework of state orders until 2020. Currently, it conducts laboratory research based on private orders, as well as offering rental of its premises, with the number of employees totaling 14 and an occupied land area of 0.92 hectares, of which buildings and structures account for 4467.34 sq. m.
