Travel Advisory: Use Winter Tires Only - Road Conditions Update

The Ministry of Emergency Situations informs that there are closed roads across the territory of Armenia. The road from the Amberd Fortress to the Kary Lake is currently closed in the Aragatsotn region. Due to the risk of landslides, the road from the village of Zovuni to the Koreans' Gorge is temporarily closed. There are patches of black ice in the Vardenyats Pass.

Regarding Lars, according to information received from the Emergency Management Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia and the Crisis Management Center of North Ossetia of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Stepantsminda-Lars road is open. Drivers are advised to travel exclusively on winter tires.
