A Second Earthquake Recorded in Azerbaijan
A second earthquake has been recorded in Azerbaijan last night, again near the city of Shamakhi. According to Azerbaijani media, the intensity of the second earthquake was 4.5 on the Richter scale, with a depth of 42 km.
The first tremor was recorded on November 20 at 4:46 PM local time (12:46 PM Greenwich Mean Time), located 40 km northeast of Shamakhi, with a depth of 20 km. The intensity of the tremor in the epicentral zone was between 6 to 7 on the Richter scale.
The first tremor was also felt in Baku and Sumgayit, according to Azerbaijani media. There are no reports of injuries or damage.
