Earthquake in Azerbaijan: Tremors Felt in Artsakh, According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations
On November 20, at 16:46 local time (12:46 GMT), the seismic protection territorial service of the Armenian Ministry of Emergency Situations registered an earthquake at coordinates 40.94° N latitude and 48.89° E longitude, located 40 km northeast of Shamakhi, Azerbaijan, at a depth of 20 km. The earthquake measured 4.9 in magnitude.
The intensity of the underground tremors in the epicentral zone was reported to be between 6-7 points. Tremors were also felt in Stepanakert, the capital of the Artsakh Republic, with a magnitude of 2-3 points.
