Law Enforcement System to Begin Process of 'Cleansing': 'Zhoghovurd'

'Zhoghovurd' newspaper reports that yesterday in the Kanaker-Zeytun administrative district, criminal authority Arthur Ghazaryan, known as Tuy from Kanaker, was killed alongside former MP Artyush Hakobyan.

According to our sources, following the incident, Chairman of the Investigative Committee Argishti Karakhanyan made a decision that the criminal case should be investigated by the serious crimes unit of the Yerevan investigative department, under his supervision.

We have been informed that after the incident, there has been a discussion within the law enforcement system regarding the high-profile murders that have taken place in the capital in recent months, for which the authorities are still searching for the perpetrators. This suggests that following yesterday's murder and the recent series of high-profile killings, the law enforcement system may initiate a 'cleansing' process, as the rate of solved cases has been unsatisfactory.
