20-Year-Old Shoots and Kills 40-Year-Old Man Near Karmir Blour
On November 1, at 02:10 AM, the police's operational management center received a report regarding gunshots. At 02:10 AM, the "Holy Mother of God" medical center reported that they had transported a man's body.
The police's operational group found that around 01:30 AM, an unknown individual opened fire with an unidentified firearm at a 40-year-old man near Karmir Blour, who succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.
Through operational-investigative measures taken, it was determined that at 00:50 AM, there had been a dispute among four men near Karmir Blour, during which the 20-year-old opened fire with illegally held firearms at the 40-year-old man, resulting in his death.
The police departments of Yerevan, along with the Shengavit and Goris divisions, conducted joint operational-investigative measures, leading to the identification and apprehension of the participants in the dispute on the Sisian-Goris road, who were then brought to the Shengavit division on suspicion of murder. The 20-year-old subsequently gave a confession during the preliminary investigation.
Efforts are underway to locate the weapon used in the crime. The apprehended individuals have been arrested. An investigation is ongoing.
