Educational Institutions to Transition to Remote Learning: Ministry Provides Details
The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport of the Republic of Armenia has sent a circular letter to organizations implementing higher and postgraduate professional education programs. This information comes from the Department of Education.
In light of the pandemic situation created by the spread of the COVID-19 virus in Armenia and the sharp increase in infections observed in recent days, it has been proposed to conduct the educational process in higher and postgraduate educational institutions online from October 26 to November 15, 2021, as part of efforts to control the epidemic and curb the spread of the disease.
The instruction emphasizes that the teaching should utilize modern information and communication technologies and tools, tailored to the educational institution's professional orientation and the characteristics of the subjects being taught.
The Ministry has also sent a circular letter to the directors of vocational (craft) and secondary professional educational institutions. Based on the findings and recommendations provided by the Ministry of Health regarding the epidemiological situation surrounding COVID-19, these institutions have been instructed to organize their educational processes remotely for two weeks starting from October 26, 2021.
As part of the measures aimed at preventing the spread of the coronavirus infection in the Republic, it is also planned to extend the autumn break for primary education, specialized, and educational institutions implementing special state programs for grades 1-12 by an additional week until November 7, 2021, inclusive.
