Authorities Spare No Efforts to Prevent Arush Arushanyan from Attending Local Elections, MP Says
These authorities are sparing no efforts to ensure that Arush Arushanyan cannot physically attend the local elections. This was stated today, October 8, during a briefing with journalists by Anna Grigoryan, a member of the ‘Armenia’ alliance.
The MP is convinced that political persecution is being carried out against Arush Arushanyan. “During the election campaign, the process of political persecution takes on new shades, and, in fact, the authorities are not conducting propaganda, but rather anti-propaganda against Mr. Arushanyan, tarnishing his good reputation. We have reached the point where the MP from the ruling party, Armen Khachatryan, is trying to question Mr. Arushanyan’s participation in military operations. In other words, Mr. Khachatryan and his remaining colleagues, who took money from the National Assembly during the war to reach Syunik and Artsakh, are putting into question Mr. Arushanyan’s involvement in military actions,” Anna Grigoryan noted.
