Several Streets in Yerevan Will Be Closed Starting from 17:00
In order to ensure the safety of participants in the events organized on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Armenia's independence, all roads leading to the Republic Square will be closed starting from 17:00 on September 20.
On September 21, from 15:00 until the end of the event, the following streets leading to the Republic Square will be closed: Abovyan Street starting from the intersection of Abovyan and Tumanyan streets, Nalbandyan Street from the intersection of Nalbandyan and Tumanyan streets, Republic Street from the intersection of Republic and Tumanyan streets, Vardanants Street from Sakharov Square to Vardanants Lane, Arami Street from the intersection of Khanchyan and Arami streets to Nalbandyan Street, Tigran Mets Avenue from the intersection of Tigran Mets Avenue and Khanchyan Street, Vazgen Sargsyan Street from Shahumyan Square, Amiryan Street from the intersection of Amiryan and Mashtots Avenue, Buzyand Street from the intersection of Buzyand Street and Mashtots Avenue.
Starting from 20:00, entry for citizens will also be restricted at the following addresses: Vardanants Street from the even-numbered addresses 2 to 16, 16/1, 16/2, odd-numbered addresses 5 to 11, 11/4, and adjacent buildings, Republic Street from the odd-numbered addresses 59 to 67, even-numbered addresses 58 to 70 and adjacent buildings, Printing House Street buildings from the odd-numbered addresses 3 to 5A, even-numbered addresses 4 and 6, and adjacent buildings, Nalbandyan Street buildings from the even-numbered addresses 46 to 50, 50/1, 50/2, 50/3, and adjacent buildings.
Access to the Republic Square will be permitted from 18:00. We kindly urge our citizens to remove their vehicles from the specified areas ahead of the mentioned days and times.
Additionally, on the same day, as part of the 30th anniversary of Armenia's independence events, marches of law enforcement subdivisions will take place on several streets of the capital, which will limit traffic on the following streets.
On September 21, from 12:00 to 13:00, Gay Street will be closed at the intersection of Gay Avenue - Gyulikevkhyan Street and Gay Avenue - Totovents-Nanseny Street intersection. From 14:00 to 15:00, Garegin Nzhdeh Street will be closed at the intersection of Garegin Nzhdeh and May 9 streets and Garegin Nzhdeh Square. From 14:30 to 15:30, Mashtots Avenue will be closed at the intersection of France Square and Mashtots Avenue-Amiryan Street intersection. From 14:00 to 15:00, Tigran Petrosyan Street will be closed at the intersection of Tigran Petrosyan and Sasna Tsrer. From 14:00 to 15:00, Freedom Avenue will be closed at the intersection of the Lambada Bridge and Freedom Avenue-Babayan Street. From 14:00 to 15:00, Erebuni Street will be closed at the intersection of Erebuni Square and Erebuni-Azatumartikner Street.
