New Change: More Working Days in January
The government is set to make a decision today regarding amendments to the law on "Public Holidays and Commemorative Days of the Republic of Armenia." According to the proposed changes, New Year’s and Christmas celebrations will be observed from December 31 to January 1 (New Year) and January 6 (Christmas and Epiphany). These days will be non-working.
In contrast, January 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7 will be designated as working days. The government believes that the adoption of this law will ensure the smooth operation of socio-economic and financial systems, which will positively influence trade, industry, service output volumes, and other sectors.
