Levon Barseghyan: Candidate for Gyumri Mayor. His Coalition Is Announced

Levon Barseghyan, one of the most active members of the Gyumri city council and a member of the opposition GALAS faction, announced today on Facebook that he will participate in the local elections of Gyumri as a candidate for mayor.

"Shall I bring a coalition for you? 'Hayrakaghak' coalition: Ramkavar Liberal Party and the Heritage Party. 1. Levon Barseghyan 2. Hovik Karapetyan 3. Hasmik Petrosyan. The papers will be submitted on Saturday," he wrote.

It is noteworthy that he had previously informed the public about his participation in the local elections via Facebook. He posted a document certifying that he has been registered in the census of the community as a citizen of Armenia for at least six months prior to the voting day.

When a user inquired whether he would be nominated for mayor, Levon Barseghyan responded, "Wait for the parties to decide; I have proposed unification, and in that case, yes."
