Opel Collides with Freight Train in Ararat Region
On September 2, a collision occurred between a car and a freight train in the Ararat region. Around 4:00 PM, an Opel Astra driven by 24-year-old Rubik Grigoryan collided with a freight train belonging to the South Caucasian Railways, operated by 31-year-old David Stepanyan from Yerevan, in the administrative area of Surenavan village.
According to shamshyan.com, there are fortunately no reported injuries from the incident. Traffic police from the 2nd battalion of the 1st company arrived at the scene, led by Battalion Commander Grigor Poghosyan and Company Commander Karapet Harutyunyan. The investigation at the site was headed by Senior Investigator Gevorg Poghosyan from the same unit.
