60-Year-Old Man Dies in Hospital After Alleged Fight
On August 23, a 60-year-old man was admitted to the Erebuni Medical Center with a diagnosis of "cranio-cerebral injury, hematoma, acute myocardial infarction, and fracture of the left temporal bone." He was unable to provide any explanation for his condition, while his relatives claimed that he had fallen three days earlier in Artashat. This information was communicated by the police.
The information provided by the relatives did not appear credible to law enforcement. Officers from the Artashat division of the Police took measures to clarify the incident. Shortly thereafter, it was revealed that instead of falling, the man had actually been involved in a dispute over financial matters with a 56-year-old neighbor in the village of Mrgavan on August 20, during which they had struck each other.
The 56-year-old resident of Mrgavan was taken into custody by the police. He confessed that during the argument, he had struck the 60-year-old man in the face, causing him to fall to the ground.
The man, who had been transported to the hospital on September 2, subsequently passed away. Examinations have been scheduled, and the investigation of the criminal case is ongoing.
