Vardan Voskanyan: Repetition of the Word 'Peace' Will Not Open an Era of Peace in the Region

Member of the 'Honor' faction Vardan Voskanyan wrote on his Facebook page: "Opening an era of peaceful development sounds appealing, and no reasonable person would not desire such an era. However, considering the peculiarities of our region, it is nothing more than a beautiful phrase far removed from the realities of the Middle East and South Caucasus.

As the Eastern saying goes, 'Saying halva will not make your mouth sweet'; similarly, repeating the word 'peace' will not create an era of peace in the region. I am almost certain that there will either be no positive response from the hostile side or we will hear the next insolent provocations and threats directed at Armenia."
