First Passenger Flight from Damascus Arrives in Moscow After More Than 1.5 Years
For the first time in over a year and a half, a passenger flight has arrived in Moscow from Damascus, Syria. This was reported by the Sheremetyevo International Airport, according to RIA Novosti.
According to data from the airport's official website, the aircraft of Syrian Airlines landed at 06:44 Moscow time. Based on information from the Flightradar monitoring service, the Airbus A320 took off from Damascus International Airport at 02:14 local time (which corresponds to Moscow time).
Earlier, Syrian Airlines announced that flights from Damascus to Moscow would resume starting on August 16. Passengers were offered the opportunity to book tickets through the airline's official website or mobile app, with direct payment options available.
