Two Armenian Boxers Reach Quarterfinals of European Championship
Two Armenian boxers have progressed to the quarterfinals of the European Championship taking place in Serbia, as reported by the Armenian Boxing Federation.
On the third day of competition, Eva Khlygtanyan opened the series of victories by convincingly defeating Belarusian representative Sofia Arlova. The Armenian athlete also knocked down her opponent.
Also reaching the quarterfinals is Tigran Kirakosyan in the 50 kg weight category, who fought hard to overcome the host's representative Pavle Popovich.
In the quarterfinals, Kirakosyan will compete against a representative from Georgia, while Khlygtanyan will face off against a boxer from Bulgaria.
