Why Russia Cannot Deploy Its Border Guards on the Armenian-Azerbaijani Border: Russian Foreign Ministry Representative
Russia cannot deploy its border guards on the Armenian-Azerbaijani border due to a lack of trust between the parties and the absence of an international legal framework.
This was announced by Alexander Bikantov, a senior representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, as quoted by Hraparak.
He noted that stable de-escalation at the border is only possible if the delimitation of borders between Armenia and Azerbaijan is initiated immediately, followed by demarcation.
