Patron Davit's Case in the Court of Cassation: What Developments Will Occur?
According to the newspaper "Joghourt," the case of Davit Galstyan, known as Patron Davit, is currently in the Court of Cassation of Armenia. The matter arises as the Prosecutor's Office has appealed the decision made by the Court of Appeal.
According to discussions prevalent in the judicial and law enforcement systems, the Court of Cassation is unlikely to impose detention on Patron Davit, as he has received protection from the authorities.
As reported earlier by "Joghourt," the release of Davit Galstyan, who is involved in the business of arms trading, was not coincidental at all. He has provided numerous services to the revolutionary government within the framework of state orders for arms trade.
Davit Galstyan had been in custody since February 2 and was released on May 17. He has been accused of supplying artillery shells of a different type, manufactured in 1977 in Czechoslovakia, instead of the appropriate caliber shells manufactured for the Ministry of Defense between 1983 and 1986, which significantly lagged in tactical characteristics.
