Search Operations for Fallen Soldiers' Remains Resume After 20 Days
Search operations for the remains of soldiers who died during the war have resumed. This information has been reported by the State Emergency Service of the Republic of Artsakh.
“Searches are currently continuing with one rescue unit in the Varanda (Fizuli) region, which is under Azerbaijani control,” the statement reads.
The operations had been halted since May 4. Since the ceasefire, the total number of remains recovered from areas outside Artsakh's control or transferred by the Azerbaijani side stands at 1,553, of which 27 are, according to preliminary data, civilians.
